The Prosline Event Ghana limited (PEGL), a protocol services provider, has called on all protocol officials to strictly follow procedures to provide efficient hospitality to attract investors to do business in the country. The company said this could only be achieved if protocol officials, which include event managers, religious organisations and hospitality operators, equip themselves with the needed skills to ensure that engagements with other people have remarkable impression of the country’s socio-political, cultural and cultural environment. This was said at the opening of their maiden edition of the PEHL’s Protocol Matters Conference 2017 in Accra last Wednesday on the theme, “The Importance of Protocol in National Development: Image Creation and Communication”. The conference brought together team players in the hospitality industry and other protocol officials such as institutional leaders, state officials and churches, to discuss the fundamental principles of protocol, hospitality and effective communication. The conference was organised to equip institutions, religious organisations, hospitality operators and event managers with skills in the protocol industry since the foundation of all functions and events rested on the recognition and effectiveness of protocol procedures. The Executive Director of PEGL, Mr Daniel Prosper Blagogee, addressing participants at the conference said that the protocol industry was crucial in the commencement of an events to its execution in order to avoid any unfortunate incident that can deface the success of the programme. “In all these, professionals in the protocol industry play a key role towards the successful organisation of events whether informal or formal, because the way such occasions are conducted reflect a certain image for the organisation”, he mentioned. Mr Blagogee said the country was globally recognised as a stable democracy and strategically positioned for international engagement, especially, the attraction of bilateral and multinational businesses, as well as strengthening diplomatic relations.Source:Graphic.com.gh
